I take it that you do not like the photo, I hope you are not referring to my niece. She was seconds from starting the California State Championship race and the image is of but a fleeting second as she readied herself for the race that gave her a scholarship for college.
Please look at these other two images taken as she prepared.
I was gonna post a comment "How is that intimidating when she's behind the person she is staring down, who probably doesn't have eyes in the back of her head?" But after reading some of the comments and replies, I figured maybe "humor" isn't the way to go.
Truth be told, if she looked at me like that, I'm pretty sure I'd need new shorts
Ok, I won't say this photograph is bad because it's not. However, it isn't DD worthy at ALL. I mean, I invite you to have a look at this guy's gallery, if he takes this seriously it's ok but come on, accept that he has no great talent nor does he take well planned pictures. ANYBODY could take those pictures, including this one. It has no special meaning, I mean yeah, it tells a story but it's as if you're walking down the street and you see a man with a curious face, so you take your camera, point at him and press the shutter ._. depending on your interpretation that picture would also tell a powerful story.
So... don't just support the DD because someone "special" featured it, anybody could make a mistake, you know. And this really pisses me off 'cause now he's got fame and more watchers and there are other persons out there who really deserve them but no one pays attention to them. This is really sad.

Excuse me but he gained only 11 watchers today and he has a total of 55 watchers. What I think is sad is your comment. Also, I don't like how you just dissed his whole gallery although there are some gems.
Ok, I must apologize for dissing his whole gallery, you are right; I didn't see all of his photographs. About the number of new watchers, I wasn't really talking about quantity; I was talking about the opportunity this DD gave him.
I'm sorry you feel that way, it's not a "Great" piece of art, it's a picture of my niece, taken an important time for her.
However I believe that it does tell a story.
If you think this is Fame, then you're wrong. No one in dA knows me, none of the people who liked this photograph know me. I got up at 5:00 am this morning and went to work, and I'll do it again tomorrow.
First of all, I hope I didn't offend you because that wasn't my intention... sometimes I'm a little too direct. I don't underestimate the importance of this picture and, like I said, it's not bad... I have no right to say it is, however DD's are supposed to be the best of the best and, in order to be so, it DOES have to be a great art piece. About the fame, well you're right but it seems I didn't express myself correctly and I don't know how to... I meant something like "DA fame", a lesser form of fame, if you will. I mean, definitely a DD makes more people know you on DA and that's what I was referring to.
BTW which one is Meghan (she has a H in her name?)
Also, stop complaining about this being a DD. It's way better than the boob shoot from couple of days ago. I also wanted to know why this made it to DD at first. But then I noticed the expression on her face, and it made perfect sense. This portrays the true image of competitive sport.
